During the Orientation session you will be provided with all the information you need. After the session we will have a delicious buffet lunch.

INTRODUCTION TO WINE CULTURE
Learn to drink like an Italian, by savoring the flavors and distinctive qualities of fine Italian wines. Chaplin Cynthia, an LdM professor will introduce you to wine tasting basic techniques while exploring several types of Italian wine accompanied by complementary food tasting.

LET’S DISCOVER ONE OF THE MOST ANCIENT NEIGHBORHOOD IN ROME: TRASTEVERE
Trastevere (literally “beyond the Tiber”) is the 13th rione of Rome. The neighborhood is characterized by its narrow cobbled streets lined by medieval houses. At night, you can find both natives and flocks of tourists in its many pubs and restaurants. After the walk in Trastevere we will have a social aperitivo in one of the coolest bars in the neighborhood!

Friday, September 23 – Day trip
DISCOVERING SERMONETA
In the middle ages Sermoneta was an important town because of its history. Sermoneta eventually became the principal center of a vast fiefdom, and well developed in artistic and cultural terms. Illustrious sovereigns and pontiffs stayed in the Castello Caetani (still intact today) through the centuries. Something you can’t miss !

JOURNEY THROUGH ANCIENT ROME
A narrated light show of the ancient forums of Julius Caesar
The ruins of the Forum of Caesar will come to life with videos,lights and narrated commentary on daily life in ancient Rome and the live of Julius Caesar!

CINECITTA’ SHOW OFF – THE EXHIBITION
Cinecittà Shows Off is a stunning tour of the legendary Cinecittà Studios in Rome, revealing cinema secrets from the history of the famous studios. Original sketches by celebrated set designers, costumes worn by international stars, and of course, the monumental sets: it’s a journey into what was dubbed the “Dream Factory.”

Meet at LdM and go to “La Romana” a great Gelateria to discover the history of Italian Gelato and taste it of course

BRACCIANO LAKE AND ODESCALCHI CASTLE DAY TRIP
The beauty of nature and the landscape, the historical and cultural heritage with its archaeological and artistic richness: these are the ingredients having make Lake Bracciano a top tourist destination! Its magnificent castle dominates all over the town. It was built in 1470 and it hosted several kings and popes… Definitely a must-see place!

Your time in Rome is almost over but you can’t leave without having experienced one of the best trattoria in town. Roman cuisine is famous all over the world… who doesn’t know Pasta alla Carbonara? Before you say “goodbye” to the Eternal City, we want you to have Roman food at its best!
